SHIP FESTIVAL · CASE STUDY

One festival. Thousands of artists. One platform.

SHIP is an international showcase festival and music conference in Šibenik that brings together artists, music industry professionals, and audiences. Its growth required a system that keeps pace with the festival and connects processes that run behind the public site.

SHIP Festival public site: showcase festival in Šibenik
Context

The festival grows. So do the requirements.

The previous platform was based on WordPress. Each new specific feature required additional customisation and maintenance. Artist applications, user profiles, programme content, and organisation processes needed to work as one.

The task was to build a sustainably maintainable system that gives the festival team a clear view of data and simpler management of day-to-day work.

Solution

A platform aligned with how the festival works.

We moved SHIP to MenschOS and connected content management, artists, applications, and user accounts in a single administrative environment.

Organisers can process key information in one place, with a structure that can evolve with upcoming festival seasons.

Process

From application to festival programme

  1. 1

The artist completes an application and submits required information.

  2. 2

The festival team accesses applications through administration.

  3. 3

Applications are reviewed and processed within the selection process.

  4. 4

Selected artists and the programme are presented to visitors through the festival platform.

Result

Fewer scattered processes. More control.

SHIP now has a digital foundation that connects public festival content and the work of the organisation team. Applications, user data, and content management sit in one connected system.

That simplifies administration and provides a stable base for new functionality in upcoming festival seasons.
